Just some reminders on what to bring to class and a few rules and regulations:

• Vaccine Records must be brought to first class --- all dogs must have Distemper /Parvo Series (canine distemper / parvo series), Rabies for those dogs 4 months and older, Clear fecal exam results within 1 yr; Bordatella (Kennel Cough) - Bordatella is optional.
• Dog should be wearing a flat buckle collar or martingale collar  (no choke chains or prong collars unless approved by trainer).  Dogs will be allowed on harnesses.
• You should have a 6' leather or nylon leash (no retractable leashes as these are difficult to work with).
• Bring small, soft bite size treats (you can use cheese, hot dogs and chicken also).  The smaller the better.
• Wear comfortable shoes.
• Ask questions!  This class is to benefit you and your dog ... I am here to help.
• All dogs must remain on leash at all times.  I require dogs to be kept approximately 3-5 feet apart during training time to help with distraction and add additional safety.  During socialization time, please do not remove your dog's leash - let them drag it for additional safety.
• Last, but most important bring a smile and a good sense of humor - if your dog acts wildly, has an accident, barks or just won't listen --- take a deep breathe and smile -- remember, that is why you are here!

DOG TRAINING IS MEANT TO BE FUN!

Although training your dog is necessary, it also needs to be fun in order for your pet to want to learn and respond to you.  Positive Reinforcement Training provides just that.  All dog training classes are designed to keep the fun in training - we learn but we also keep things light and fun for you and your pet. Socialization of pets is also allowed at the end of each class.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT

I provide a safe environment for you and your pet.  All floors are lightly bleach washed to prevent the spread of infection.  There is an elimination area in front of the building - everyone is required to properly clean up after their own pet.  There is nothing in the facility that can harm you or your pet - all outlets are covered, all wires are safely tucked away and the floor is rubber matted to prevent slipping.  The facility is temperature controlled for everyone's comfort.
