I am a firm believer in a strong, well-balanced owner/pet relationship. I work with each individual and each dog based on their specific needs, personality and lifestyle. Here is what some of my clients have to say about their training experiences:
I am a fellow dog trainer, but I’m more involved with strictly performance training (agility, obedience competitions, trialing, testing & certifications) and cannot spend the time trying to help dogs with behavioral issues. Gayle is the person I refer any dogs that might have potential, but have other issues that need to be addressed. Her understanding of dog’s behavior and how people should relate to them is very keen. If you read on her website, her description of how she thinks people should relate to dogs it is enlightening. She says on her website that we have to lead dogs so that they can be carefree and just be dogs. Gayle is a behavioral specialist that helps people and dogs are happy together. This summarizes how and what she does for dogs and the people that love them.
Hiring Gayle to help you and you're dog is the best thing you can do for your Dog!Dan Pettas, Go Dog Go
We have two 8 month puppies (dachshund chihuahua mix-Ripley and Zoey) that were chewing on our brand new furniture, going on puppy pads, and having accidents on the furniture on a daily basis. I read articles, dog books, you name it, but could not figure out a way to make it stop. I am a firm believer in positive dog reinforcement and that was the only option for us. After searching online and considering a trainer, we came across It's a Paws-itive Thing and decided to give it a try. In two sessions we were able to get the accidents to stop and had our pups going potty outside, not to mention getting them to sit, stay and learn some basic manners. By our last session we were walking on the leash with minimal barking (as they LOVE to bark at EVERYTHING and ANYTHING). I couldn't believe it! Gayle's techniques and years of experience has not only set our puppies up for success but also has helped our sanity! She is able to quickly identify what each dog needed improvement on and her training was customized to each dog's personality/learning ability. With the training techniques we were taught, our dogs have been completely transformed into happy, well disciplined dogs.It is WELL worth the investment and is much more convenient than any other training programs we looked into - and its reasonable too! I highly recommend her to anyone who needs the help; she is fantastic!

"Gayle has been working with my two rescued senior dogs since July and the change has been amazing. Rocco, in particular has found confidence and learned how to play with toys and behave around people and other dogs. Rocco has learned to do agility and looks forward to his times working with Gayle. Both dogs have learned to curb their aggression and fear! Gayle is very patient and very gentle, but firm. Just what they needed."

"Gayle is wonderful! Her positive approach in training our new puppy has helped our puppy now 7 months old become a confident, fun and loving member of our family. Gayle is always available to help or provide advise. You never have to wait until your appointment to get Gayle's attention. She is so responsive and caring."Jean K. and Kobie
"Gayle has helped us to make amazing progress with our family dog, Grover. Grover is now housebroken - which at one point in time we were certain would never happen! Gayle helped teach us simple techniques, and when consistently applied, the results were incredible. She has also helped us with mouthing issues (him biting or mouthing your hand), jumping issues, and confidence issues he had as a result of being a shelter dog. Thanks to Gayle, our dog Grover is still a happy member of our family. We were tearing our hair out before.....now I know that if I have any other issues, we can contact her and she can quickly put us on the right track again. Thanks so much for your dedication and passion to the dog training industry Gayle!"

"We worked with Gayle for several weeks following the arrival of our new puppy, Gracie. Gracie was a 'rescued' pup, about a year old, part chocolate lab, part lucifer....
Gayle did a great job, working both with Gracie and with us. She has a ton of experience, a great sense of humor, and a very flexible approach that allowed us to get Gracie to at least a controllable state in a relatively short timeframe. I really think the hardest part of Gayle's job was 'training' my wife and I, and since we survived and Gracie is now a (fairly) well-behaved pup, I think she worked a miracle!
We heartily recommend Gayle!"

I hired Gayle, to help train my puppy. She had him sitting, down and staying within two sessions! She uses positive training, so my dog listened and responded quickly. Everyone that meets my dog is SHOCKED, by how well trained and behaved he is.
Gayle is flexible and has no problem helping with situations, as they come up. I can call her anytime and she will help fix any problems, that I'm having. I had used other trainers, before Gayle and I was not pleased with any of them! A lot of trainers don't connect with the dog, use prong collars and don't make training fun or exciting.
Not only will your dog enjoy working with her, so will you!

When I adopted my dog from the Humane Society, it was apparent that I needed one-on-one training. Even better, since I adopted a rescue dog, I was given a discount which brought the cost down even more. Right from my first phone call to Gayle, I knew I was on to something good. Three weeks before our first session we talked many times on the phone with my questions and her advice. After our first session, it was obvious that Gayle would really be training me on how to train my dog. I could not be happier; my dog developed the manners I knew he had. Even after my sessions were over, Gayle continued to make herself available to me by way of e-mail and phone when I had additional questions. I have now adopted another dog and can't wait to start incorporating all of what was taught to me into the new pup. I highly recommend Gayle to anyone interested in making their dog a well-mannered member of the family. By the way, my dog is four years old and yes, you can teach on old dog new tricks.
